Bolduc Music Educational Music License – Right to Copy Policy
This license agreement (“Agreement”) grants you, the purchaser, the right to download and use the accompanying musical work(s) (the “Work”) for educational purposes under the terms and conditions outlined below.
- Grant of License:
- Bolduc Music grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and make copies of the Work solely for use by your students enrolled in courses taught by you at the specific educational institution (the “School”) where you are currently employed or affiliated.
- You are permitted to make one copy of the Work for each student enrolled in your course(s) at the School.
- These copies are for instructional and educational purposes only and are intended for the personal use of your students within the context of your teaching activities at the School.
- Restrictions on Use:
- This license is specifically tied to your teaching activities at the School.
- This license is non-transferable. It may not be shared, resold, or distributed to other teachers, staff, schools, or institutions.
- If you cease to be employed or affiliated with the School, or if you begin teaching at a different educational institution, this license for the Work at the former School terminates.
- You must purchase a new license for the Work to use it at a new educational institution or for students at a different school.
- You are strictly prohibited from distributing, sharing, or making the Work available to individuals or institutions other than your currently enrolled students at the School.
- You may not use the Work for commercial purposes or any other use outside of your educational activities at the School.
- You may not alter, edit, or modify the Work in any way unless specifically authorized by Bolduc Music in writing.
- You may not remove or obscure any copyright notices or other proprietary markings on the Work.
- Copyright Ownership:
- Bolduc Music (Jeff Bolduc) retains all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Work.
- This Agreement does not transfer any ownership or rights to the Work to you or your students.
- Termination:
- This Agreement may be terminated by Bolduc Music if you violate any of the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.
- Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the Work and destroy all copies of the Work in your possession or control.
- Disclaimer of Warranties:
- The Work is provided “as is” without any warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Bolduc Music does not warrant that the Work will be free from errors or interruptions.
- Limitation of Liability:
- In no event shall Bolduc Music be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the Work.
- Governing Law:
- This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of US copyright without regard to its conflict of the laws principles.
- Acceptance of Terms:
- By downloading and using the Work, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Educational Music License – Right to Copy Policy (‘Agreement’).
Intent of Policy:
- This policy is designed to support music educators while also respecting the intellectual property and creative work of the composer/arranger/publisher. Your honesty ensures we can continue creating quality music for the classroom.
